Awards! Awards! Awards!
|
For the second year in a row, the APM was awarded first place in the digital print kiosk category in PTN’s annual Top Imaging Products of the Year Awards. Every year PTN (Photo Trade News) polls its readers for their choices for the top products—those which made the biggest splash at their retail counters or were the fastest or best-selling throughout 2005. The winners will appear in the January 2006 issue of PTN.

PTN also chose David Guidry, owner of Louisiana-based Lakeside Camera and Imaging, as its 2005 Dealer of the Year. Lakeside has been a Lucidiom customer since 2003. This is the fourth year in a row that a Lucidiom retail partner has won PTN’s Dealer of the Year Award. Guidry is featured in PTN’s December issue.

Photo Industry Reporter (PIR) chose long-time Lucidiom customer, Dan’s Camera City of Allentown, Penn., as its Photofinisher of the Year and featured the store in its most recent issue.

APM 7000 Shows Off in Vegas
|
We will be showcasing our new APM 7000 at the 2006 International CES,
January 5-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). Retailers can choose to put two dye-sub
printers (4x6 and/or 5x7) in the base of the 7000, or give customers
a one-stop solution for both digital and conventional analog printing and
house a film drop box in the base. Just like all of our APMs, the 7000 can also be
connected to a minilab, for printing in-store or for sending jobs to a remote printing location.
At CES, attendees can use the APMs themselves to print custom greeting cards
or 4x6 prints for free at six APMs located at North 1, Central 2
and South 3 LVCC hall entrances. If you are attending CES, stop by one of the APMs
and try out our cool promo set of Vegas templates!
Click here to read the press release about the APM 7000 and CES.
If you plan to be there for CES, stop in and listen to one of CES's SuperSessions.
Lucidiom's president, Steve Giordano, Jr.,
will be participating in a panel discussion on Friday, January 6th from 3-4pm at the Sands. The free session,
"The Heir to the 1-Hour Photo Throne," will focus on how customers are consumers viewing, sharing and storing their
precious images in the digital age.

From the Support Desk
New APM Version 3 User's Guide Now Available:
The updated User's Guide for APM Version 3 is posted in the support section of Lucidiom.com.
The Guide is up-to-date with the most current version of the software and contains a
screen-by-screen description of the APM software and its supporting applications, including the
relatively new Setup Wizard.
Click here to log in and view the pdf.
TIP for Template Installation:
When you install templates on your APM, use the Setup
Wizard on the APM to configure which
designs and sizes you want to offer.
If you manage your print workflow with the Print Station, you must also use the Setup Wizard on the
Print Station to map where each size card is printed. (If you do not use the Print Station,
this configuration is done in the APM's Setup Wizard.) You may also need to configure your printer driver
to accommodate any new template sizes.
